The Walworth History Festival

The Walworth Society is offering 9 days of activities in September, including exhibitions, animated history tours, talks and films. Come and share your memories.

From the 15th of September till the 23rd of September we will be holding 9 days of activity at the Art Academy gallery space located at 155 Walworth Road, SE17 1RS. 

The project has been kindly funded by United St Saviors Charity, Southwark Council-Neighborhood Fund, Elephant and Castle Fund-London Community Foundation and NSET.  It has been helped and assisted by the Cuming Museum and Southwark History Library.

It has many varied and exciting elements:

* Exhibition of volunteers work and curated by Diana Cochrane.

* Animated history tour, animating the volunteers work by John Whelan. Please book tickets on: 

(We have two animated tours at 3 pm and 5 pm just before the private view if you are able to join us)

* Front Room-talks, films, memories and various heritage activation curated by Julia Honess.

* Open House-tour of the building and the civic history of Walworth with Shelagh Kavanagh.
