Monday 22nd July 2019
Over 300 local people attended Creation's summer beach party on Thursday 18th at the Giraffe House. The event kick starts the annual summer programme of activities.
This free community event had a seaside theme, guests were treated to fish and chips and ice-creams. There were donkey rides, a bouncy castle, sandcastle building and inflatable seagulls – everything to make urban South London feel like the seaside.
Speaking about the event Creation’s Chief Executive. Charlotte Benstead, said; “We always put on a big summer bash, but I reckon this one could be the best one yet! It was so lovely to see so many residents coming out and enjoying themselves. We even got some sunshine! A genuinely joyous day and lovely family memories were made today. These events are are not just great fun, but they also offer residents the chance to find out about activities and services available in the local area.”
Local resident Jackie said; “I wouldn’t change a thing about today. It was a fantastic event. My kids loved it.”
